Racing on the Clyde, in the best traditions

The Mudhook Yacht Club was formed in 1873 and encourages Amateur Yacht Sailing on the Firth of Clyde, Yacht Building and all matters connected with the same.

The number of members shall not exceed forty (and one forbye), exclusive of Senior Members and Honorary Life Members.

 It has no fixed shore base. It organises yacht racing and cruising events on the Clyde and West Coast of Scotland.

The 2024 Regatta was in a new format from earlier years being a one day Regatta off Inverkip on 1 June being part of the new season-long championship series exclusively for boats racing 2-handed.

There will be another 2 Handed Series in 2025 consisting of five separate events starting with the Clyde Cruising Club Round Bute Race from Kip to Largs on 26 April 

This will be followed by the Club's own one day Regatta off Inverkip on 31 May 2025

The third event will be the Isle of Bute Seasports Club Round Bute Race from Rothesay on 14 June 

The fourth event will be the Clyde Corinthian Yacht Club Race from Rothesay to Tarbert on 12 July and

Finally the Fairlie Yacht Club Scottish 2-Handed Race from Largs round Holy Isle or Arran on 6 September 

Entry will as in 2024 be via each Club's own Race Entry Form/ NOR
